Testimonials
With my mother 175 miles away on her own after losing my father in February, we couldn’t have managed without Rachel in ‘lockdown’ .
She had already been helping my mother for the last year but continued to visit her during this uncertain time, do her shopping and any other jobs she needed doing. She provided great support and companionship throughout her time helping my mum. I am so grateful to her and I know my mother sees Rachel as a true friend. With her gentle, supportive and kind nature, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone needing support at home.

It is a real pleasure to work with Rachel looking after clients.
Her professional, friendly and caring approach is matched with a desire to not only understand the full needs of those she meets but also to develop a greater understanding of the bigger picture.
She is honest, reliable and always delivers a great service.
Rachel has many strings to her bow and is an excellent support worker - dedicated, thorough, honest, reliable and above all very caring. My clients and I are immensely sad that she is leaving the area but pleased for those in Somerset who are now going to benefit from her skills and kindness.

Rachel has been helping me to de-clutter my flat. She works very hard indeed and manages to create order out of chaos.
We work very well together sorting things out into different categories; keep this, charity shop, recycle, rubbish.
Rachel always arrived on time and works very hard and very cheerfully.
She is very strong and very well-organised and already my flat is looking much more organised and spacious

Rachel Mackay, for the last year, has been assisting me in sorting and cataloging the contents of my loft. Having moved from the large family home to a smaller house sixteen years ago, I have now with the assistance of Rachel, at last, got some order and clarity regarding my family history.
My parents having met in wartime, wrote regularly to each other for approximately forty years as my father spent his working life as a foreign correspondent.
Throughout this process, Rachel has made the process much easier and I am certain I would not been able to accomplish it without her excellent help. She has been very willing, happy to climb ladders into the loft, move boxes and most importantly keep order and sort contents. She is hardworking, cheerful, adaptable and a great help. For the last year, we have made slow and steady progress, on a morning only, twice a month.

I was stuck. Clutter stuck. Nothing moving forward in my art studio because wading through the obstacle course required firing up energy I was lacking.
Then I recalled Rachel. Fairy Aid. Exactly the spark I needed to roll up the sleeves and get organised. And the right person to have in my space at a difficult time in life.
Rachel knows how to handle art. Carefully, respectfully. She knows how an artist works, asks what needs to be close at hand, what can go in the recesses of storage space.
I highly recommend Fairy Aid Rachel to help anyone having to face the need to de-clutter.

I moved from a three-bedroomed house full of 65 years' worth of books and clutter into a one-bedroom flat. I decluttered a lot before moving, but not enough as I had to move in a hurry. Rachel comes once a week to help me de-clutter my flat. We work together very hard for four hours. Rachel is very good at planning and sorting and making more space. Every time she comes and helps me see more space, more light and more carpet. She has re-organised my little kitchen so that there is space for everything. we chat while we work which is very therapeutic as Rachel is very wise and understanding.

Rachel has a wonderful personality which makes it easy for her to connect with anyone she is with.
Her work ethic is second to none, she gets on with ease and efficiency.
I really do not know how I would get along without her.

Rachel came to help me when I had a very ill friend who needed to be admitted to hospital. She was very caring when talking to my friend and gave me really good practical and moral support in a very difficult situation. She took over the phone to speak to the professionals on my behalf. I felt she was a real friend although I had only just met her.
I would thoroughly recommend Rachel to help with any problems people have, she is a lovely caring person and very willing to assist in anyway she can.

Amazing energy combined with care and consideration transformed our house and garden. Cupboards, creepy corners and sheds, loaded with foreboding, became wondrous storage areas and pleasant places to sit. Her visits are a pleasure and I know that help in the garden and activity in sorting personal papers will produce highly satisfactory results.

Fairy? Angel would be more accurate. Rachel has changed the thought of a morning trying to sort out my chaos from dread to positive anticipation. And, talking of anticipation, Rachel has it in spades. For example, if I'm taking five to make up my mind about a difficult pile of historic detritus, I find that Rachel has watered my suffering houseplants and shorn them of their brown and shrivelled leaves.
I always feel so much better by the time she leaves. God bless her!

I contacted Rachel when I was in desperate need of help having just downsized to a smaller home. There were oodles of paperwork to sort out and articles which needed to be put in the attic or got rid of. Rachel was a good help and very patient and kind to me. I can recommend her.

Rachel is amazing, she helped us work our way through 10 years of accumulated storage so efficiently and carefully. She’s kind, helpful and practical. A total gem for anyone looking to get help with decluttering or reorganisation. We feel much freer and calmer thanks to her!

Rachel has helped me mainly with cleaning and getting on top of clearing my house, she is very happy to work alongside me helping to motivate me or work on her own. I find her willingness to turn her hand to anything particularly helpful. I also find it really good that I can contact her on an adhoc basis whenever I feel I need extra help or another pair of hands for something without it needing to be a regular commitment. Rachel is a very friendly hard-working lady and I would happily recommend her to anyone.

I'm a full time carer for my husband who has dementia. Rachel has visited us weekly for the last year and provided companionship for him so that I can go out for a morning. Her companionship extends to reading books and the paper with him, doing puzzles and word searches, watching topical events on television in sport and going for walks. In all this he benefits in her encouragement of conversation and her input has been a very valuable extension of socialising for him. My husband and I have complete confidence in her caring role.

Rachel came to help me turn out when I was moving house and unpack afterwards, apart from other help that was required. She is very efficient and knew what she was doing so that took much of the strain out of a very stressful situation. She is a cheerful person and we found a good rapport, so I looked forward to her visits. She is obviously very versatile and I would certainly ask Rachel to help me again in future if it was needed.
